Probe aus uns Musikern, mich Bassklarinettisten eingeschlossen, zu entlocken (dies ist nicht nur meine persönliche Meinung, sondern auch einiger anderer Musiker). ich hätte gerne einen Kommentar zu Intrada geschrieben, jedoch gibt es wiederholt Fehler, wenn ich keine realen Angaben über mich machen möchte. Das muss man akzeptieren, dass die Nutzer anonym bleiben, wenn sie sich aktiv beteiligen sollen. Ich bin selber Musiker und habe schon viele Stücke von Jan van der Roost aufgeführt und wollte eigentlich Intrada als ein sehr gelungenes Werk anpreisen. Ging eben leider nicht.

I had the privage to play Puszta and Balkanya, and I played both timpani parts. They are both very fun to play.

Your pieces never cease to amaze me! I have played several of your pieces on varying instruments and have loved every single one from Orion to Flashing winds to St. Martins Suite to Swan on the Hill, olympica, Signature. Mr. Van de Roost you are a genius of our time and will without a doubt one day join the ranks of composers such as Mozart, Offenbach, Beethoven, Glen Miller. I hope to one day listen to my children and grand children play these songs, or medleys combining several of your songs (I can just hear one now, with the melodies from olympica, swan on the hill, St Martins II and Flashing winds)

Please write something for clarinet choir!!!

I played Istvan my freshman year and it gave me immense chills. I have never played such a powerful piece! I'm so glad you are returning to the Western International Band Clinic! I can't wait to play more of your music.

I've played Puszta and Rikudim, and let me just say that it's a toss up between those two for my favorite song played in any ensemble, ever! How do you write such elaborate, beautiful pieces?

I'm now going to be a high school senior, but I still remember when my band played Puzsta my freshman year. Looking back, I have to admit that it was my favorite piece I've ever played in concert band. I've never played anything like it since.

Recently I was watching to the Symphonic Band of the São Paulo state, when I was surprised by a wonderful and divine song. It was one of your compositions. I must say that I was totaly moved by it and I almost cried at the end of the presentation.

I absolutely love ur work mr Van der roost! your pieces are inspiring, moving and offer a wide variety of challenges and difficulties that can make even the most basic of bands sound fantastic. As a mallets player i especially love the mallet parts to your pieces which are often quite interesting to play and provide an excellent part to the piece

I play clarinet in my high school symphonic band. We're getting ready for our spring concert this Wednesday and we'll be performing "Balkanya." It's definitely my most favorite piece out of all the others I've had the privilege to play. I love the flow and beauty of it. It's really like nothing I've every played before.
